The GRcade Twitchcast Episode 23 – Playing Games and Singing Songs!

This week Jenuall, Pedz, The Doom Spoon and Victor Mildew are your wonderful hosts.

The conversations start with Half-Life: Alyx, and reminiscing about Half-Life in general and some VR chat too.

We then have Victor Mildews Debut of his second Christmas song. The opening song was his first.

Victor has to leave us again here as he is unwell, has work the next and has to walk his doggo. The guys continue to talk games though and they move onto Poké… No, no Pokémon this week, the chat is actually about Sonic the Hedgehog. There have been a fair few things unearthed by people when it comes to Sonic Prototypes and the guys like Sonic and are all interested in looking at things that ‘may have been but did not come to pass’.

Lastly, when the topic changes again, it’s focus is not on a particular game or series, but it goes back to a subject from a previous week and that is talking about game streaming, Stadia, Xcloud are Amazon coming into the fray? What do the guys think? Are they getting paid for the things they are saying about Amazon?

The GRcade Twitchcast Episode 22 – X019, Cloud Wars and Controvérsymon!

The week your hosts for the GRcade Twitchcast are The Doom Spoon and Pedz.

The conversation starts with the Xbox event that was in London – X019. The guys go through the announcements at the show, but as neither saw it all live, they didn’t see every announcement. However, they did see the majority of the games; they were:

  • Grounded
  • Everwild
  • Sea of Thieves

Some of the games shown coming to Gamepass

  • Bleeding Edge
  • Tell Me Why
  • Halo: Reach
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator
  • Age of Empires IV
  • Minecraft Dungeons
  • Wasteland 3
  • Kartrider

With X019 talking about Project Xcloud and Google’s Stadia service launching both before the Twitchcast, Doom and Pedz together think it would be a good idea to discuss them both. Stadia is seemingly having a bad launch and Project Xcloud is still in a beta stage, gradually being rolled out to more people.

Lastly, the conversation turns to Pokémon Sword & Shield, in which the guys discuss the game and some of the controversy surrounding it after its launch.

The GRcade Twitchcast Episode 18 – One Foot in the GRave!

The Doom Spoon and Pedz are joined by Victor for hosting duties.

This week the guys talk about the Pokemon 24hr mystery stream. Was it worth a 24-hour stream for what appears to be a reveal of a Galar variant of a generation one Pokemon?

The discussion then turns to the Fallout Legacy Collection. What do the guys think? Does this sound good? Is it a coincidence that Obsidian’s name game is being released on the 25th of October and this so happens to come out the same day?

Ubisoft and the microtransactions in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is the next topic of discussion. There are some mixed views on this.

Unfortunately, Victor had to leave due to the time and then remembering he works on a Monday and will be shattered. But Doom and Pedz continue to talk (do they ever stop?) and the conversation moves over to the GRcade Video Game Eliminator. The top spot is somewhat predictable, but what does Doom think overall?

Playstation Now is also a topic tonight. The guys think Sony may have now realised that the service may be viable after looking at Xbox Gamepass’ success.

Lastly, there’s a little chat about Alphadream. They were the creators of the Mario and Luigi series but unfortunately filed for bankruptcy in the week.
