The GRcade Twitchcast Episode 28 – Catching up and Checking In!

This week the hosts of The GRcade Twitchcast are Doom Spoon, Pedz and Victor Mildew.

This is the first Twitchcast in a while and the idea was to have a shorter podcast and just have a catch-up.

The guys start off talking about Animal Crossing: New Horizons. What’s discussed is how often they play it, if they’ve stopped, what he game is like for them, what hole it fills in their gaming life compared to other games and simply if they like it.

Moving on from Animal Crossing and the discussion turns to Half-Life: Alyx, where Victor explains how the gameplay and also lets us knows how thoughts about the game in how good it is, how he feels it would be without VR and just his general views on its general quality.

After that talk turns to puzzle games, where The Witness is briefly mentioned before it turns to chat about Picross S4 and the Picross series in general and how there are just certain games whether you like games or not that partners just seem to really enjoy playing together.

Talk turns a little more serious with some talk about the Corona Virus. The chat is more about how everyone is coping with the isolation or, having to work in a place where getting the virus could have some serious impacts. The guys say that there is a thread on GRcade that if you need to chat about the impact that the isolation on you mentally then you should absolutely go there and talk, talking can really help when emotions are running high or mental wellbeing is low, so please if you need to come and talk in the ‘Depression, Anxiety, or other Mental Health Conditions’  thread.  There are also helplines to call if you need to talk to somebody to help you through this time. a quick google search will bring up tons of results for your area and beyond.

The GRcade Twitchcast Episode 27 – Outbreaks, Cancellations and March!

This week the hosts of The GRcade Twitchcast are Pedz and Victor Mildew.

In this latest episode of the GRcade TwitchcastVictor wanted to talk about the cancellation of GDC (Games Developer Conference) due to the Corona Virus (CoVid19) outbreak. Both muse over what other events and conferences could face the same fate.

Victor also talks about Half-Life 2 Episodes 1 and 2 in the run-up to Half-Life: Alyx. Describing how his views may or may not have changed after several years of not playing them.

Lastly, Pedz looks at some of the games upcoming this month and asks what Victor is interested in. Doom, Animal Crossing, Half-Life- Alyx are games that at least one of the two are interested in.

The GRcade Twitchcast Episode 25 – Chilled Christmas Chat!

This week the hosts of the GRcade Twitchcast are Jazzem, Mattking85, Pedz and The Doom Spoon.

This week Doom and Pedz start the Twitchcast to talk about Christmas. Well, it’s more about which Christmases in the past have really stuck in their memory. The stories that are generally very happy stories. Although Doom does have a saddening story about him and his grandfather.

The chat turns to Game of the Year. Booth Doom and Pedz are sort of at a loss. While both have played a fair few games, most have been from previous years. They do narrow it down in the end, though.

Doom then Askes Pedz the question, what if anything in the gaming space left an impression on you? Pedz has a think and both Doom and Pedz discuss what had left impressions on them, positive and negative.

Unfortunately, Doom has to leave, but Matt and soon after Jazzem joins to talk about their happy Christmas game memories. They also talk about their Games of the Year and again the question is asked if anything left an impression on you. There are actually quite a few subjects bandied about.

It was a little different this week in that Pedz suggested playing some games while doing the Twitchcast, in a hope that it would have a different feel to the usual. As while no Christmas games were played it was suggested that having a slightly different feel to the Twitchcast would be nice when talking about Christmas experiences.
